Open Layout

Capitol Hill Condo Open Living Area

Expert design can give a smaller footprint more bang for the buck. This unit’s floor plan is optimized to reduce unusable square footage, which in turn allows for more livable space. It’s a must when you’re living in the city! The high ceilings and large windows allow bright light to shine throughout the unit, adding depth to the openness.

This studio unit really lives more like a one-bedroom. It has a generous sleeping area that can easily accommodate a queen-sized bed, leaving plenty of room to move around comfortably. Depending on your style, you can completely partition the sleeping area off or let it flow naturally into the living room. Speaking of the living room, it’s the perfect place to entertain friends or have a chill night with a book or a movie. Being on the top floor insulates you from road noise, and you will never have to listen to neighbors above you.

Fabulous View of the Neighborhood

Capitol Hill Condo Space Needle View and Seattle View

This studio unit makes the most of its square footage, and it’s positioned to give you views of incredible scenery, too! This unit is situated in one of the very best spots in the entire building. The Space Needle is positioned squarely outside of the living room window—absolutely iconic!

Best Rooftop Deck in Seattle

This building is not called Plaza Del Sol for anything. The rooftop deck is one of the sunniest spots on Capitol Hill. You will be hard-pressed not to want to spend time up there for most of our Seattle seasons. There’s plenty of outdoor seating to spread out and relax. Plus there’s a grill you can use to wine and dine with your friends. The views from the deck are second to none, including panoramic views of Downtown, The Space Needle, The Olympic Mountains, and territorial views of Capitol Hill.

Please note that the rooftop deck is closed right now for COVID.

Extremely Well-Managed Homeowners’ Association

Plaza Del Sol Courtyard

Buying a condo means being part of a Homeowners Association (HOA). That means you really need to know what kind of community you are buying into. In partnership with a professional management company, the homeowners keep the building in tip-top shape and address issues immediately. With strong reserves, the HOA is doing all the right things to insulate itself from costly special assessments. It’s hard to buy into buildings as well-run as this one anywhere in the city. Let’s just say that the professional and responsive Plaza Del Sol board has set the building up for long-term success.

For the city lifestyle, Capitol Hill is where you want to be. The Plaza Del Sol is located right in the heart of it all. The Capitol Hill Light Rail Station is just a 5-minute walk away, plus you’re minutes to several major bus routes. If you want to stay in the neighborhood, there are plenty of things to keep you busy all year long. Get your steps in as Downtown is an easy walk down the hill. Beautiful parks such as Cal Anderson and Volunteer Park will be your playgrounds.

If it’s nightlife you crave, Capitol Hill has everything you could ask for. Dive bars, nightclubs, and cool hangout spots dot the neighborhood. And when it’s time for some nourishment you have your choice of several grocery stores and endless choices of international restaurants such as my favorites Roma Thai and Fogon.

Buying A Condo In Seattle: 4 Key Considerations

Have you bought a condo before? If not, you should get a little information specific to the process, as is not entirely the same as for a detached home. From identifying your goals to conducting the right inspection, we cover four points that are crucial when buying a condo in Seattle.

Be a Smart Condo Buyer Guide

  1. Identify Your Condo Must-Haves – Rentability, pets, parking, laundry, etc…
  2. Buy in the Best Building in the Best Neighborhood You Can Afford – You are buying into a community. The majority of condo buyers want location above all else. The Bering is literally in one of the nicest locations on Capitol Hill.
  3. Review the Homeowners Documents in Detail – This is extremely important for older buildings. As a community, everyone needs to pitch in and preserve the space.
  4. Do a Home Inspection. Obviously!

This is just a starting point, and we have so much more to share about the home buying process. Browse our Home Buyer page for a comprehensive home buying education.
