Tacoma may be several towns over from Seattle. Many people who work in Seattle have moved south to this gorgeous town. Mass transit options connect the two cities throughout the day. Making the commutes a little long, but leisurely. But don't write-off Tacoma as just a burb. Tacoma has a character and culture all its own. Being near the southern end of Puget Sound. Residents enjoy easy access to the amazing scenery of the Olympic Peninsula and Mount Rainier National Park. The city itself has some beautiful views and is home to a campus of University of Washington and many cultural institutions. Such as Tacoma Art Museum and the Washington State History Museum.
