The time is now to sell your house in Seattle in 2024 and we have some awesome advice for you to make this happen. Ok the reason we say now is the time is because every home we listed this last Fall sold. Most of the homes sold for  over asking. And almost all of them sold in the first week of listing the home. This indicates that buyers have gotten used to the shock of the interest rates and are ready to make the big move.

The only thing holding back a lot of buyers right now are people like you and me who have those juicy low interest rates and do not want to sell right now. Ugh!

Yes! To be fair our team finished the year as one of the top teams in the region for selling homes. A lot of this has to do with the fact that we simply do more marketing than anyone else in the region. But really it came down to the team and the work they did with their clients to make this happen.

Last year everyone on the team helped someone who was able to make the move and capitalize on the other opportunities in the market. For some it was the ability to buy up to their dream home with a lower down payment. And for a few they sold their big family home and moved out of state. One special client we worked with for months as she moved out of her family home and into assisted living. Everyone was different and needed a caring person to help them navigate their very personal home sale.

But whatever the reason this is the time to make this magic happen.

Kim Colaprete’s Advice for Selling a House in Seattle in 2024

Let’s be real. This is Kim’s 25th year in real estate. Not only has she mentored everyone on the team to be listing baddies. She is the Queen Diva of Bad Ass Listing Agents. The numbers don’t lie. Kim’s listings consistently sell well above the city average. For instance she sold this stunning home in Laurelhurst for 17% over asking in a market where homes stayed on the market for 60 days.

Advice From Our 25 Year Veteran in Real Estate on How to Sell Your Home

“This year more than ever, pricing a home well will be crucial. Your home still has to look fabulous, be well maintained, and marketed like a Diva. But until rates are stable AND on the downward trend, buyers will lean fiscally conservative on price. Sellers who do the same will be the winners of the 2024 market.” – Kim Colaprete

Roy Powell’s Advice for Selling a House in Seattle in 2024

Our Roy started in real estate ten years ago. Originally he started out helping renters and assisting Kim with her listings. Roy has an incredible aesthetic and truly loves helping people. It was an incredible combination of skill and experience that really helped to create our Diva Difference process. Fast forward and Roy’s listing skills are right up there with the very best in the industry. For instance in the middle of November he sold a longtime client’s house in multiple offers and for cash. All of the neighbor’s homes sat stagnant on the market. Roy knew what the home needed to look like to attract the very best buyers. And he did it!

Advice From Our Ten Year Veteran on How to Sell Your Home in 2024

“Congratulations, you have something rare! If you want it to sell for more than your neighbor, you need to do the work. I can help you to make a plan for what to repair and what to replace. The shinier the diamond, the more value it has. You are also likely looking to move so coordination will be imperative. If you are moving locally, let’s make the plan together. If you are moving out of the area, I can help you find the ‘Roy’ in the area you are looking to move to.” – Roy Powell

Lindsy Russell-Mitchell’s Advice for Selling a House in Seattle in 2024

No one will work harder to make your home shine than Lindsy. She cares so much for her clients and really goes the extra mile when it is time to make sure your home looks the way it needs to push it over the finish line. For instance Lindsy sold this home in West Seattle for over 8% over asking in the middle of December. The reason why is that Lindsy was in that home every day for weeks making sure it was ready for the market.

Advice From Our First Time Home Buyer Professional Lindsy

“Hire and interview an agent who understands selling in this tricky market. Education is very important! Fix what’s broken, clean her up, and market that house like a true Diva!” – Lindsy Russell-Mitchell

Donna Burns’s Advice for Selling a House in Seattle in 2024

Our Donna is also the listing vendor manager. She sees every home and knows in detail that the work the sellers do up front does result in huge outcomes. This year Donna had one of her first listings on her own. She took all of the Diva processes and was able to sell her home over asking in less than a week. Oh and did I mention it was on a super busy street.

Advice From Our Listing Vendor Manager On How to Sell Your Home in 2024

“Prepare your home for sale! Do a walk-through with your real estate broker early on in your process to get a clear picture of what might be needed to get the home into tip-top shape. Be sure the home shows well; that it’s absolutely clean, feels desirable, and looks its very best. Understand that what you will get out of your house is a direct result of the work you put in to prepare it for sale! And take the time to completely empty and stage your home when it’s for sale. Not only can it set the tone of a home, but it will increase the number of people who want to see your home after they view the listing photos.” – Donna Burns

Hannah Wilson-Hillard’s Advice for Selling a House in Seattle in 2024

Our Hannah knows exactly what a modern home buyer is looking for in a home. She often goes back to her listings to make sure the little details are finished. And that the home is ready for buyers. Buyers are picky and Hanna’s goal is to make sure there is nothing to pick apart when it comes to her listings. Last year she used this skill to sell a condo in Queen Anne in less time than the neighboring condos.

Advice From Our Savvy Listing Broker Hannah on How to Sell a Home in Seattle in 2024

“Fix what is broken! A buyer will pick apart a home on the inspection response. Fixing the little things that are obviously broken is a great way to get ahead of that. It will not only make the property show better but it will also save you some money when it comes to inspection negotiations!” – Hannah Wilson-Hillard
