I have loved this View Condo at 23rd and Jackson since I first got into real estate. Sixteen years ago I was a brand new broker in the business and one of my office cohorts had a condo on the market. And a couple of my friends in the art world ended buying the home. The condo is very special and super unique. It has a great west-facing view of the city and an amazing roommate-friendly layout. Most two-bedroom condos have the bedrooms right next to each other and the second bedroom is always super small. Not this one! You enter into the condo and the bedrooms are on either side of the living room. Additionally, the location of this home is in one of my favorite areas right at historic 23rd and Jackson.

The Best View Condo in Seattle

You all know over the years we write a lot about all of our listings and how much we love them. I am especially excited to describe this specific home to you. The photos of this home tell a story. And below we are going to give you the background to those photos of this view condo at 23rd and Jackson in the Central District. 

Stunning View Condo

Technically this home is on the first floor. But the way the building is built into the hillside, you end up having a delightful view of the neighborhood and the city beyond. As a result, you have a view from BOTH of the bedrooms AND the living room. Typically, in many condos, the main living room area has a view but not the bedrooms. Not here! 

This view condo is not only super affordable but it is giving the dream home you have been waiting for! 

One Of The Best Laid Out Two Bedroom Condo

Most two bedroom condos (and frankly traditional houses) stack the bedrooms right beside each other. Not here. The bedrooms are separated by a living room which gives you a ton of privacy. This could be privacy between roommates or guests. In addition, there are TWO full bathrooms. 

Rarely do these units come on the market in this building. In fact, the last one in this building came on the market two years ago. Our own sellers lived in this condo for over ten years specifically because of the views and this layout. 

Huge Primary Suite

Once again this specific condo’s layout lends itself to a huge primary suite. It has a walk-in closet and an ensuite bathroom. The other thing I really love about this view condo are the VIEWS from primary suite. You also have a ton of room for an actual king-sized bed!!!

Right now condos are having a tough time getting lending for buildings who do not have enough money for repairs. Anytime one of our clients wants to buy a condo one of the first things we do is look at the financials and future work in the building. Basically we are looking to make sure that our clients are not getting themselves into a situation where they are going to be in a building that cannot maintain its value because of deferred maintenance or poor money management. 

This is why we KNOW that this condo is HOT TO GO:

  • Reserves: Over $800,000 in reserves means this building has the savings to deal with major projects like the roof, siding, etc.
  • Money Management: The 2024 budget has a surplus. 
  • Owners Pay For Their Own Water Usage: Many condos include water in their HOA dues and as a result residents have a tendency to waste resources and it drives up the cost for the building. Here each owner is financially responsible for their own water which typically leads to people being more mindful about their utility bills. 
  • Major Work is Planned: The building is already on top of major work that is coming online. This mitigates the risk for future owners to have a special assessment. 

The Neighborhood at 23rd and Jackson

While we were staging the condo we ducked into Simply Soulful for lunch. Simply Soulful is one of the best Black-owned soul food restaurants in the area. The owners were super nice and excited that we took time to eat in their space. Many areas in the Central District has been gentrified and spaces like Simply Soulful are not really a big part of our city any more. At 23rd and Jackson places like Simply Soulful are thriving. And we love to see it!

In addition, the location means that you can live in one of our favorite places in Seattle AND have easy access to Capitol Hill, Downtown Seattle, and to the Eastside.
