I really value working with people who care about their community so much, and I am aligned with Team Diva in so many ways personally. I deeply admire Team Diva’s willingness to always speak out about what they believe in, and I appreciate how engaged they are in politics! I have also learned so much from them and am endlessly inspired by their unique community events, innovative marketing, and how they show up for progressive causes.

Alyssa was a critical component to supporting the team as we did a massive update to the website last year. We are super lucky that Alyssa agreed to bring her phenomenal writing and SEO skills to the Team Diva universe. Alyssa and Mara work closely to make sure that we continue to bring our Diva shine to our listing and social content.

What do you love?

I love hanging out at home with my husband and our doggies, exploring different countries, and the thrill of creating something new (whether it’s a drawing in colored pencil “just for fun,” or a visually engaging graphic for one of my clients!).

What do you do every morning before you start working?

I make a pour over coffee, or if I’m lucky, my husband makes me a latte! I also scroll through Instagram and cuddle my pups.

What do you do in your free time?

I like to spend time with my friends—we go to parks to catch up on life or try out new restaurants. I enjoy playing guitar and violin, making jewelry, or trying out a new craft. Listening to audiobooks, podcasts, and watching documentaries are a few of my other favorite activities.

Where is your favorite spot to grab a bite?

It’s hard to choose—one of the things I absolutely love about living in Seattle is how much fantastic cuisine we have here. SOI in Capitol Hill is definitely one of my favorite places and I love their Khao Soi (it’s a little different than how my grandma makes it, but it’s still amazing!).

What is your favorite morning beverage?

Coffee of course! I like it strong and black.

What is your favorite local organization?

Northwest Immigrant Rights Project does important work to help protect, defend, and advance the rights of immigrants. So many immigrants in our country and community are treated unjustly, and many are already in vulnerable positions. I feel so grateful that there are organizations like NWIRP to advocate for our neighbors.

What is your favorite memory of working with a client?

I love anytime a client is excited about a project we have collaborated on together. It’s so rewarding to finish creative projects and share them with the world, and it’s even sweeter when my client loves the end result and is just as excited as I am!
