Last night we watched the mid-term election results with the rest of the nation. While watching the results Gary Stevens posted an interesting perspective via Twitter @GarySoup. In his post he stated that Meg Whitman, 2010 GOP candidate for California of Governor, spent $163 million of her own money to run and lose the race. More than the annual budget for the National Endowment for the Arts. Wow!
It makes you stop and wonder – Why is the United States national arts scene not as important as running for Governor of California? Lucky for us we found the folks at the Americans for the Arts with a great video project that truly articulates “Why the Arts Matter”.
